Thank you to Keegan Hartslief – Seedlip Brand Ambassador for this amazing article…
When talking weddings a few things come to mind; the venue, the food and most importantly the drinks! Whilst weddings can be full of delicious bubbles or sweet cocktails, the rise of the ‘sober curious’ movement has more and more couples asking – ‘What do we serve to guests who aren’t drinking?’
If you have guests who are not drinking, more often than not, there are only have a few options to select from… sugary soft drinks or over-juiced mocktails. But there is some exciting news, enter the world’s first non-alcoholic distilled spirit, Seedlip, for a tantalising grown-up and refreshing beverage choice to offer at your wedding.
We spoke to Seedlip Australia Ambassador, Keegan Hartslief for his insider tips on how to make a delicious Espresso MartinNO – the perfect drink for your guests wanting to stay well on the wagon this wedding season.
Keegan’s three tips to perfect the Espresso MartinNO.
1. Whilst you can go into your local supermarket to pick up some cold brew coffee concentrate if you’re having a location wedding in a wine or coastal region, I recommend dropping into the local café to see if they have their own cold brew and pick up some of their sustainably sourced single estate beans for the garnish
2. You don’t need to splash the cash on the perfect glass, you can score some great finds at the Op shop or even IKEA has some affordable and trendy options.
3. If you’re planning a wedding in the warmer months and we all know how hot Australian summers can be, my hot tip (no pun intended!) would be to pop the glasses in the freezer before serving up to guests. This way it will stay nice and cool to enjoy every drop!
These tasty drinks aren’t just for non-drinkers. With the huge trend towards people drinking more mindfully, these can make for a perfect break in between alcoholic drinks!
