Thank you Gabbinbar Homestead for sharing this amazing article….
Stuart and Eden met in the Summer of 2014 at one of Brisbane’s finest tapas bars. They ate, they drank, they laughed and before they knew it, it was almost midnight, they were completely lost in one another’s presence – this was the start of their forever!
Gabbinbar was a front running venue for the couple from the moment they started researching wedding venues. When Stuart and Eden drove into the driveway, the big white gates slung open and they looked at each other and it just felt like home. Eden said “the professional service we experienced at the viewing and every day moving forward to our wedding day was nothing short of perfection.”
The moment which stole the show for Eden was standing with her husband on the front veranda, looking out into the beautifully lit garden, the fountain was flowing, she could hear the sound of laughter, the smell of exquisite food and the band playing all of their favourite songs. Eden said, “we looked at each other and kissed with so much content and happiness bursting from our souls.”
The couple took inspiration from the architecture and garden design of Gabbinbar Homestead which played a big role in their styling. There was an old world glamorous feeling to their reception with the ‘Conservatory’ filled with candles, glowing with the most spectacular golden hue, star jasmine ran loosely down the long dining tables as though it had been pulled from the garden and effortlessly styled. Everything Stuart and Eden did simply enhanced the natural character and charisma of Gabbinbar Homestead.
Now that Stuart and Eden’s special day is done and dusted they have some helpful advice for those newly engaged couples, “engage the right people, trust your vendors and constantly remember who the day is for, what do you really want and what does your fiancé like, don’t forget the day is also his.”
